Do you have problems finding a decent web hosting provider?
In choosing a web hosting provider, people are often attracted by marketing gimmicks such as 5 Gb disk space, unlimited monthly data transfer and freebies like web hosting
A website usually do not take up more than 1 MB disk space. Have you ever tried measuring the amount of disk space your website take up? You will be surprised that how little space it usually take up. web hosting provider do provide you with more than enough space than what you need. Even more absurdly, web hosting providers provide up to 500 GB of disk space. How can one ever used up so much disk space!
What are the things to look out for to choose a Singapore web host?
1) Uptime
2) Website loading speed
3) Customer service responsiveness and quality
When a website is accessible we call it “up”, when it is unaccessible we call it “down”. Therefore uptime is the amount of time a website is accessible, usually measured as a percentage of a month. For obvious reason we know that uptime reflected the image of your website. If your website is “down”, it reflect badly on your website and/or company.
Equally important is your website access speed. It is common sense that if your website loads slowly, your visitor will be unhappy. I am sure you have visited websites that take ages to load. Without a good reason, ask yourself will you visit it again? Of course not!
Customer service responsiveness and quality is very important and in my personal opinion more important than uptime. More than often, you tend to put some files in web hosting account. Can you trust a web hosting company which hires part-timers? I have read in web hosting forum about a Singapore web host which hire untrained part-timers simply to handle the company support.

The result? Your so called confidential information is no longer confidential anymore. Can you imagine a company hiring a part-time person with totally no experience to be its security guard? It is just giving itself a false sense of security.
Many web hosting handle support in a way that I do not like personally. I have been a customer of IT Interactive before many years back and had horrible experiences with them. What I needed help with is just a simple mail configuration. They literally replied to me after 2 full days. Can you imagine how frustrated I am to get things done this way? When we are setting up Oryon Networks - our first vision is simply a web hosting provider without any bullshit and just work the way you want it. We just want to keep things simple so that we and our customers are happy.
This is just a pure personal opinion on web hosting
